The woman, aged in her 40s, was found injured by the side of the road before being taken to hospital by ambulance with a broken leg.
The woman’s two-year-old daughter in the stroller was unharmed.
Police today confirmed they had seized the unregistered Lancer from a home on Guildford Road in Guildford.
“Police arrested an 82-year-old woman at the scene and took her to Granville Police Station,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“She has since been released without charge pending further enquiries.”
